VŠB - Technical University of Ostrava is the third largest technically oriented university in the Czech Republic with a history dated back to the year 1849.
The university has a modern campus, which is concentrated mainly in Ostrava-Poruba. VŠB-Technical University of Ostrava is now divided into seven faculties and many research institutes.
